Commissioner

In all disputes or confusion Commissioner will have final and absolute discretion.

Time

Pacific Time is official time for NFL-IDA. This keeps all owners at least on same day. The RT site operates on Eastern Time. When looking at Transactions etc. the time will be Eastern. If Transaction is done at 12 am Pacific it will show 3 am ET on site.

Games

16 games will be played to determine Champion. Schedule will be random computer generated. There will be no NFL-IDA Games during week 17 of NFL Season.

Power Rankings

Power Rankings are used to determine NFL-IDA Champion. 3 Categories are used (1) Total Points, (2) Head-Head Wins, (3) Overall Wins (number of wins/losses team would have if played every team in league every week). There is possibility of ties, head-head and overall. If there is a tie for Championship, the Team that has the highest weekly overall average (highest/lowest weeks thrown out) will be Champion. There are 8 teams, 1-8 each week.

Scoring

For Individual Player Scoring please see RT site. Menu "League" menu "Rules".

Rosters

Each team will have minimum of 23 players on Roster. Some Teams may have more players because of trades from previous season etc.

Keeper Roster: Before the Beginning of New Season an Owner may Keep Over 8 players from current roster.

  • 8 Players MAX.
  • 2 Veterans (1 per position)
  • 6 Keepers (players added to your team over the years during their rookie season)
  • No more than 3 players per position regardless of Veteran or Keeper.

Each Season owner may add a MAX of 3 New Rookie Keepers (1 player per position per season) to his teams CAP of 6 total Keeper Players, allowing room is made for them. (Releasing players/Adjusting Rookie Veteran Status etc.) Owner may move Rookie Keeper into Veteran Slot, making room for a Rookie Keeper. Once a player is moved into a Veteran Slot that player is forever a Veteran. But this can help you manage players you value.

A Keeper Rookie released or traded to another team becomes just another player/veteran to all teams in league including original owner. Keeper Rookie cannot be re-added as Rookie Keeper after having been released traded etc. There are endless ways to manage your roster. As seasons pass you as an owner are responsible for the composition of your teams roster. Good, Bad and Ugly.

If owner returns less than 8 players, owner will fill out 23 man roster by adding players after Draft is complete.

    Drop/Adds

Release 1 player to add 1 player.

    Waiver Wire

Drop/Adds: 12 am Wed is first 12 hour drop/add block. Every 12 hours afterwards a new block opens for another owner. Owner may do
  • 1 drop/add
    and/or
  • 1 IR

in his 12 hour block or may wait until later in week. During the week owner may do ONLY 1 drop/add and 1 IR. Sunday 12 am until Sunday 10 am is Free-For-All Period. Owner may do unlimited drop/adds during this block. Owner may do drop/add/IR after owner's 12 hour block opens but not before.

Thursday/Saturday Games -- If you have players affected by a Thur/Sat game please try and look ahead, Waiver Wire Order Rolls same regardless of Thur/Sat Games.

Waiver Order: Will be from Last to First based on Power Rankings. Order announced on Tuesday and changed every week. First Drop/Add week will be week before start of NFL Season. That week and following week will be reverse order of Last Season's Final Rankings:

    Aaron 12am Wed---Brian 12pm Wed---Mark 12am Thur---Tony 12pm Thur---Bob 12am Friday---Dave 12pm Friday---Jason 12am Saturday---Blas 12pm Satruday.

Sunday 12 am until 10 am Pacific Unlimited Drop/Adds.

Injured Reserve: Owner may place 1 player on injured reserve. Injured player must be listed at least as questionable on RT site or get permission from Commish. Owner may then add 1 new player at same position as injured player. IR lasts for 3 Sundays, counting bye weeks.

After 3 Sundays IR must be addressed:

  • if player is healthy IR must be removed and added player released.
  • If Injured player is still hurt then IR can be continued for 3 more weeks.

Owner could release the added player and add different player if desired. Releasing and adding new player only counts as addressing IR not multiple transactions. Owner could release player to perform drop/add in order to keep the new player on roster (this becomes a drop/add not an IR move). Owner may do IR beginning with owners first 12 hour block or after until 10 am Pacific Time Sunday. Only 1 Injured Reserve Per Team this Season not 2.

Suspended Players are not eligible for IR.

    Trades

Tuesday 12am is earliest to announce a trade. Agreed trade must be posted on RT smackboard for 24 hours before it becomes official. The 24 hours gives other owners opportunity to bid/offer counter trades before trade goes through. Owners cannot prevent a trade, only make alternative offers. Latest a trade can be announced is Saturday 10am for that week. No limit on Trades. Trades may include players, multiple players, draft picks etc.

    Draft

Draft will consist of 15 rounds. The first (3) rounds of draft will be in reverse order from final Power Rankings from previous season. Beginning with 4th round draft order will "Snake" 4th round will be reverse order of 3rd round, 5th round will be same order as 3rd round etc. Actual draft order may differ allowing for trades etc.

After draft owners who didn't return 8 Keeper Players will fill out roster to 23 man. Owners who traded picks away will fill out roster after teams who returned less than 8 Keepers.

Rookie Supplemental Draft: Before Draft, there will be a chance for owners to add Rookies from previous season to their roster. This will be last chance for those rookies to be added to team and count as "Rookie Keepers". After Regular Draft Begins they will be counted as Veteran Players. To add a rookie from previous season: owner states which rookie he is interested in adding and which rookie on current team he will be releasing, if applicable. Owner must be willing to give up his 15th round pick for new rookie. If other owners are interested in same player, name released player, and owners bid for new rookie, by draft pick rounds, higher and higher, like poker. Can bid to 1st round if chose. If owners tie for bid, team with lower power ranking from previous season holds tie-breaker.

Teams may add multiple "rookies" in Rookie Supplemental Draft, staying within set parameters (i.e. Can't add two rookies at same position in the Supplemental Draft..).

    Starters

Each team can start 11 players each week. Owner must start at least 1 player at following positions, QB, RB, WR, TE, K, Defense. Owner may not start more than 2 QB's or 2 Defense's, nor more than 3 players at any other position.

Owner may start a Defensive Back, for Return Yardage, rushing/receiving/passing etc. Not individual Defensive stats.

Starters must be set before 10am Pacific Time Sunday.

Thur/Sat Games players affected must be started before kickoff.

You may start a player on bye week or injured, but will receive no points from that player/position but you must start 1 player at every position each week except Defensive Back. If choose to carry only 1 player at given position.

    Thursday/Saturday Games

If there is a Thur/Sat or other special weekday game. Owner must start player before kickoff of game. Also waiver wire will not take those games into account, so if need to make adjustments for those games drop/add IR, please look ahead.
