ARRIZABALAGA There are farms (baserriak or caserios) with this name in Arbazegi (Bizkaia), and in Eibar, Pasaia,Azkoitia and Segura in Gipuzkoa, the meaning is: ARRI: Stone ZABAL: Wide AGA: Place, so the meaning is "Place of Wide stones" or in spanish: Lugar de piedras anchas.

There is also a small village near Vitoria, (Alava) Basque Country, called so. In this Arrizala (Arrizabalaga) called village is also the prehistoric dolmen of "Sorginetxe" or "House of witches".
