ARANZABAL
This surname is originally from Ubera, Guipuzcoa.
The meaning comes from "aranz" (a bush with thorns or a
thorny bush) and "zabal" (which means wide). This could have
several meanings. It might connotate a wide thorny bush or
more likely a wide open space where there may have grown a
thorny bush or bushes.
The arms are a field of blue, three gold towers arranged
horizontally.

Hallo,
I don't think that ARANZABAL means aranz-zabal, b ut only aran-zabal "large valley".
