I don't know if anyone is able to help me on this one. I am doing a dissertation on Culture and Identity in the Pays Basque nord region. I need some feed back from people in the region. i.e.
Do you consider yourself to be first Basque or first French in the context of a culturally diverse France and what are your main areas of concern: ie. work, or lack of, social issues etc. Do you think you now look towards central French government on these issues, rather than to local government? Please - any feedback would be much appreciated.

Here's what I need:
"For the love of music"

I am Spanish, and my grandmother spoke Basque. She was a singer. Unfortunately she has passed, and I want to use this phrase for remembrance. Please let me know if anyone can help. I need this from English to Basque, and maybe a few responses to ensure accuracy. This would help SO much! Thanks to anyone who responds! -Sara

I'm basque = (ni) euskalduna naiz ==> normally if we know who is the subject we don't say it.
ni = I or me
euskalduna = basque
naiz = am

Don't worry = lasai

The spanish Catholic Kings sent to exile all the jewish and muslims in 1492 when they finish their genocide in Al-Andalus and start in America, just the same year. So is strange to find jewish surnames. But maybe Zazu it could be "agot".

Hi! I'm a basque 21 years old boy, I don't write very well in english, but I found this page and I am very surprised. I like it very much and I'm writing to say that I'll like to help you. I have to say that Euskara is one of the oldest languajes in the world, it is very particular comparing with other languajes (including the spanish).I'm in love with my languaje and I admire the people who want to find their histories.

Later I read a woman called Mari.I like this post very much because Mari is one of the most important symbol of the basque mitologhy. She is a mitologhical woman/god. There is many histories and versions of this creature, but the legends says that she is a very beautiful woman who lives in the basque montains and grutes. She can be good or bad depending the person that speaks whit her. There are a lot of histories of men with a good heart that visit her grute and become happy for the rest of their lives, anda bad people who has become crazy only for see mary.

     Udazkeneko arratsalde goibel bat poztu eta nirengan harridura sortu dutenei esker mila. Nire laguntza eskeintzen dizuet, nire bihotza hunkitu egin duzutela esanez. Lan bikaina iruditu zait. Zorionak!

Hey,

I just cameacross this website. My girlfriend is Basque and she sang a song to me in Basque called "hegoak ebaki banizkio". I would like to buy the original of this song and give it to her.

Can anyone tell me who sings it, and where will I be able to get it?

Thank you.

Agur

Se.

My last name is Iribe and I've read it's of Basque origin. I'm curious to know what it means. I'm of mexican descent but I've always felt that my last name had an origin other than Spanish. No one in my family knows it's meaning. I would appreiciate any kind of help from anyone. Thank u :)
